RESCUING SEED’S HERITAGE

ReSEED project aims to examine the historical changes in agriculture related to cultivated seeds, environment and human action from 1750 to 1950.

The study will contribute to understanding the socio-economic and ecological impacts of the crops from the new worlds across Europe. The research focuses on the Iberian Peninsula, which was the gateway to many of these seeds in the old continent.

Can past knowledge help find solutions to current challenges related to food security, agrobiodiversity and inequality?

This project has received funding from the European Research Council (ERC) under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (grant agreement n°760090).
